After the operating system core is started, the Startup Main menu is displayed to the user. Using the menu, user can boot up with the ofagentapp in the following modes:

Launch the ofagentapp with connecting to the controller. User needs to specify IP address and port of the controller.
Launch the ofagentapp in the listening mode. The default port is used and can still be modified from the Linux shell via modification of the /mnt/fastpath/ofagent.cfg file. The DUT needs to be rebooted in order for the modifications to be applied.
Launch the Linux shell.

User has 5 seconds to make a choice. If during this period user does not make a choice, the ofagentapp is launched in the listening mode by default. In case /mnt/fastpath/ofagentapp, /mnt/fastpath/linux-kernel-bde.ko and /mnt/fastpath/linux-user-bde.ko files are missing from the file system, the message "There is no file /mnt/fastpath/<file_name>." is displayed to the user and Linux shell is launched from the Startup Main menu.

All these actions are defined in the rc.start startup script.
